Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival Returns to NYC For the Third Year in a Row

The Third Annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is returning to Manhattan for a third year in a row to LA.VENUE & THE TUNNEL at 608 West 28th Street (between 11th & 28th) in West Chelsea on January 28, 2012. The all-you-care-to-taste extravaganza is being held in two sessions: The Bacon Session Noon – 4pm and The Whole Hog Session 5:30pm – 9:30pm.

All ticket holders will receive a souvenir glass to sample over 60 beers and 40 bourbons while enjoying bluegrass music and seminars from Bourbon Master Distillers, Master Brewers from Internationally renowned breweries and Pitmasters from the South.  Guests will enjoy tasting all types of barbecue, Southern cuisine and lots of bacon.

And The Campus Socialite will be giving away a pair of tickets to a 21+ New York resident. Keep checking our Facebook fanpage for details!

“This is our third year in Manhattan and we love it!! Every year the participants out-do themselves with the food and drink and our guests keep us pushing the envelope of pork-ability.   This year we will have a record number of restaurants participating, we are serving up the most whole hogs we’ve ever prepared and we’ve even added a firkin cellar for specialty cask beers.” says Greg Nivens, President of the Trigger Agency, the company that puts on the event.

Along with the vast food, spirits and beer tastings, attendees will have lots of other great activities at the event.  The Tasting Theater will feature tasting classes and seminars on various topics. To date, Harlen Wheatley, Master Distiller for Buffalo Trace, Chris Mattera, Master Butcher from Sausage Craft, Gable Erenzo, Master Distiller for Tuthilltown, Rob Robillard, Master Distiller for Cabin Fever Maple Whiskey, NC Pitmaster Bill Eason from Lil’ Red Pig and MD Pitmaster Steve Klobitis of Kloby’s Smokehouse and Brand Ambassadors from Angel’s Envy and Makers Mark are all slated to speak.

Past the Tasting Theater, guests can enjoy some fantastic bluegrass on the mainstage, meet the Daisy Dukes and Boots girls or watch as tradesmen make hand-rolled cigars on-site.  There will be other exhibits including hot sauces, BBQ sauces, brewerania and other food items.
