Breaking News: Brett Favre is Back… again. I love Brett Favre and I think he just made the Minnesota Vikings a Super Bowl contender, but dude, what’s with the constant fake retiring? Make a decision and stick to it. Everyone loves to watch you play football, most people want you back, but nobody wants to be invovled in this back and forth decision making process. And you have to feel bad for Tavaris Jackson, the starting quaterback of the Vikings last week. One week he’s the guy, the next week he is riding the bench for the season. But the bottom line is, Tavarias Jackson is a back up QB nothing more, and Brett Favre is Brett Favre. So when he says move over, I am coming back, if you’re Tavaris Jackson, you put your head set on, grab a clipboard, and try to find the best seat on the bench.
I am not a Jets fan, I am a Giants fan. But not a Jets hater either. A New Yorker first and foremost. And I enjoyed watching every Jets game last season knowing that the greatest quarterback of all time, Brett Favre, was playing for the NY Jets. I thought he had a solid season with a mediocre team, and brought them from a 4 and 12 record to 9 and 7. That is an accomplishment. I think it is obivously apparent he still has a lot left in that tank.
Mark these 2 dates on your calendar: Monday Night Football, October 5th, Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers. WOW! If there wasn’t enough of a feud between these two teams, it just got a whole lot more exciting. And if you’re from Green Bay, you better go get your tickets and reserve your hotel rooms, because Favre is coming back to Lambeau Field on the first of November. That is going to be quite the spectacle.
I’ll tell you one thing, Adrian Peterson and Brett Farve on the same field is going to make for a deadly offense. Minnesota’s defense is already a force. So the Vikings just became a player in the NFC.
Brett Farve will reportedly earn $10-12 million dollars this season.
