Joshua must be either really old or just really out dated because Facebook is the new bootycall, more specifically Facebook Chat is the new bootycall. Its late night, all of your roommates are asleep just like most of the world. What are you suppose to do? You could text a usual hook up buddy, but he/she is probably sleeping and wouldn’t respond anyway. What do bored college students do? Log into Facebook.
Thanks to the handy little chat feature, people are able to see and talk to any friend who is on. How convenient to have a list of potential hook ups available at the current time, with a quick and easy form of communication. All that is necessary is being coherent enough to type, which should be easy for college kids because we all live on our laptops.
Boy – Why are you awake right now?
Girl – Haha I have no idea, I just can’t sleep. Why are you awake???
Boy – idk, are your roommates awake?
Girl – uhhh no! They are being lame and went to sleep
Boy – so lame, sleeping at 3 am who does that??
Girl – Tell me about it! Now I am lonely 
Boy – yea my roommates are sleeping too. You could come over so we wouldn’t have to be lonely.
Girl – Okay, see ya soon
Facebook chat creates the easiest route to a late night hook up. Plus, since you were already home, you can wear comfortable clothes instead of heels and a dress (a less embarrassing walk of shame home.)
