There’s an app for this; there’s an app for that, or so Mr. Steve Jobs claims. With over 400,000 applications for you to choose from in the app store, you would think there is an app for just about everything, right? Wrong. While there are tons of apps geared toward college students, I feel there are a couple of apps missing that would indeed help my fellow undergrads through some of those sticky situations we know all too well.
STD Tracker

Seriously, nowadays, we all should be more aware of the dangers and consequences that come with not playing it safe or “wrapping-it-up.” Even though college is the time to explore and experiment, we still don’t know who has what. Well, at least, we didn’t until now. With the STD tracker app in your pocket, you don’t have to worry anymore. You can be itch-free. No burning sensation when you take that well-deserved urination the next morning. What a relief, huh! Just remember, when you’re on the prowl for that sexy co-ed the night before and drunk out of your mind, simply open the app and scan your “late night” friend’s finger. And in less than 10 seconds later, a red screen will pop up that will repeatedly read, “WARNING, DO NOT ENGAGE.” You will discreetly know to get the hell out of there before it gets serious so you can look for a more “appropriate” prospect.
Hook-up Counter (HUC)

Now that you’re armed with your STD Tracker app, you might as well go ahead and download this one as well. I know college is that time where there is too much going on with all the studying and partying and it’s very difficult to stay organized. Well with HUC app, your after dark social life won’t be a blur no more. This app will make it a breeze to keep track of the amount of chicks or guy you hooked up with. You can categorize by year, major and a personal rating system. You can even link up with your friends to compare notes and scores to keep that competitive spirit going. Furthermore, if you’re hammered at a party, the app will give you suggestions of new potentials and remind you of those grenades to stay away from.
Pick-up Lines (International and cultural edition)

I know there are plenty of pick-up line apps in the app store. However, there are none that are in different languages or help with the cultural differences that might need to be learned in order to “spit game” properly to the new exchange student who just transferred to your college. Also, this app might get you some action while you’re studying abroad next semester.
Cram for that exam

This app does what the name describes. It will have over 100 tips ranging from quick note taking to fast-working hangover remedies that will help you ace those exams you were too busy to study for. Just because you are having a good time (maybe too much of a good time) in college, doesn’t mean your grades have to suffer. Download this free app and long hours of studying will be a thing of the past.
Textbook Swap

This amazing app will give students the ability to sell, trade, and even rent textbooks from one another. The app will be based on what school you attend, your major and obviously, previous courses taken. This app will save you from the headaches surrounding buying books at the start of each semester. No longer will your beer and recreational “fun” funds be depleted due to purchasing a couple of textbooks. Now you can worry about spending your money on more important things.
