Not only is today Monday, but it is also the day after the Superbowl. You probably woke up hungover, feeling like shit, since the Superbowl is the biggest party day of the year. Fuck: You have classes, schoolwork that you haven’t done, work to go to, or you’re just really depressed because you Steelers didn’t win this year (Oh well). Whatever your reason is for hating this Monday, don’t worry: I totally agree – Monday blows! However, if you want to make this Monday a little more entertaining for your friends and yourself, here are some fun facts about the Superbowl. Shout them out like you have Tourette’s and maybe, just maybe, it will make the pain of this Monday slightly more manageable.

Well, if you are up at work, or just up in general, good for you, because about 6% of Americans today will call in sick. For you 6%, you better have had one fucking awesome night! The 94% of the rest of us are fucking exhausted over here, taking antacid to calm our stomachs after game day. There will be a 20% increase in antacid sales across the US today.

Superbowl Food Fun Facts:

-$55 million was spent on food last night for Superbowl parties.

-It was also the second leading food consumption day, next to Thanksgiving.

-15,000 tons of chips were eaten yesterday, along with 4,000 tons of popcorn and 8 million pounds of guacamole.

-Domino’s says they sell over 9 million slices of pizza on the Superbowl.

-California Avocado Commission says that game day fans will also eat 160 million avocados.

-Superbowl Sunday is the largest winter grilling day of the year.

-The average person will have consumed about 3,000 calories by the end of the Superbowl.

-10 million hours will have been spent preparing Superbowl Party food.

Seriously, no wonder America is so fat!

-All Superbowls are played in a warm weather climate. Florida has hosted 14 of the 45 Superbowls, making it the leading state for the most Superbowls.
