Everything’s better in Texas – everyone knows that. Everything’s also bigger in Texas, which makes our great state bigger and better than yours. Why? Because we make it that way. Texas wouldn’t have the reputation of a badass for nothing, right? All Texans are proud to live in Texas and here’s why Texas is better than the state you “live” in.
Considering the recent economic downturn, Texas has fared quite well in relation to the other states.
Our unemployment rate is at a low (compared to others) 8.2%. For decades, Texas had managed to almost act independently from the rest of the Union, thanks in large part to the natural resources found here. For instance, we have the wind on our side. A natural renewable resource which we depend on to produce energy. If you’re looking to purchase a new house, Houston and Dallas is where you want to buy. The same $250,000 “home” in California would translate to a huge home in Texas.
Have you seen the women Texas has produced?
Actresses such as Hilary Duff (Houston), Eva Longoria (Corpus Christi), and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Waco) were all born here. Among those actresses, singers Beyonce Knowles (Houston), Jessica Simpson (Dallas), and Ciara (Austin).
Need I say more?
Naturally, we’re prettier and diversified.
You could say Texas covers all the bases nature has to offer. We have beaches, forests, deserts, mountains, waterfalls, lakes… you name it. Which also means you can surf, hike, climb, and wakeboard. You just have to have enough time to find ‘em all!
Our teams are some of the best in their leagues.
Texas team’s like the Spurs and the Mavericks are both in the playoffs right now – and playing each other in one of the biggest rivalries in Texas.
The Houston Astros season hasn’t started off too great, but it’s early in the season and I have no doubt they’ll make a comeback.
In 2008, the Dallas Cowboys made it to the divisional playoffs, but unfortunately lost to the Vikings. They did, however, keep the Saints from getting their perfect 13-0 season.
We have one of THE best college football teams in the nation (I’d say THE best). The University of Texas Longhorns fell short of the BCS Championship to Alabama, but I think if Colt McCoy would have been able to play the entire game we would have won.
So there you have it, just a few reasons why Texas is better than yours. You get more bang for your buck, beautiful women, gorgeous scenery, and some of the best sports teams in the country. What else could you want?
