We may only be a week or so into fall semester, but girls are already having boy troubles. Whether you met a total dish in astronomy and he just isn’t into you, or there is a complete creeper who won’t leave you alone, both scenarios cause big problems. It is time for you and your girlfriends to lie down on that stained dorm floor and talk it out. It is time for a girls’ night. Head to the store and grab a can of icing with Nilla wafers, something deliciously salty, and tell “your source” to pick you up a bottle of champagne. The only other items needed to perfect this evening of glittery toes and juicy gossip are the traditional and sappy chick-flicks. Here are a couple choices for that much needed girls’ night.

10 Things I Hate About You
Let out your aggression by quoting Julia Stiles’ character Kat Stratford. “My fenders don’t really whip me into a verbal frenzy” could possibly be my favorite movie quote ever. Between Kat’s moodiness and Bianca’s naivety, you will get a whole new perspective on how to win over that handsome boy in astronomy.

She’s All That
Freddy Prinze Jr., Paul Walker, and Rachael Leigh Cook, what could possibly be better? When the “loser” of the class wins the “most popular” guy, an immediate feeling of inspiration fills the air.
John Tucker Must Die
It’s so rewarding to see the player truly get played. This is one of those movies that gives you so many ideas about how to stick it to the man. Just gather up your spy gear and that two timing jerk will be running home to his mommy.
A Walk to Remember
Nothing is better than watching a town’s troublemaker become reformed. A Walk to Remember is such a heart-warming story and will make you feel a little compassion towards your boy who forgot to call you last night.

The Proposal
Sandra Bullock is such an empowering women on and off the screen. Her character in this movie is a hard ass and vulnerable at the same time. It just goes to show that a woman can be in a position of power and still have her little quirks too. It also shows that men won’t necessarily run away from a strong woman either.
