There are always hundreds of trends during summer, but these ten trends are must-haves for 2010. From head to toe, these are the pieces that every girl needs to have in their summer collection.
1. Aviators: ‘Heritage’ Aviator Sunglasses by Juicy Couture- $98.00
Why? Because they’re classic and a great size for a female face. They’re perfect in the gold frames, but come in pink and white as well. Aviators are a timeless compliment to any outfit, casual or dressy.

Why? Oversized watches for women are all the rage right now. Whether they’re gold, silver, black, or white you can’t go wrong with big watches this summer.
3. Nude Heels: Flamed’ Platform Heels in Blush by Steve Madden – $63.00
Why? Because they’re perfect in every way possible, not only that, they’re extremely comfortable. Every girl needs a pair of nude heels especially for summer.
4. Fedora: ‘Staring at Stars’ Paper Straw Fedora from Urban Outfitters- $24.00
Why? If you’re by the pool or meeting friends for lunch, a fedora is the perfect accessory for a swim suit or a casual t-shirt and shorts. You can dress it up or dress it down. It’s a very versatile accessory to have.
5. Casual V-Neck Tee: ‘Sunkissed’ Pocket V-Neck from Gap – 3 for $30
Why? These V-Necks are soft, airy, and comfortable. Choose the size you usual wear in t-shirts and stick with that size. These shirts are meant to run a little big so they fit slightly looser. With jeans and heels or shorts and wedges, these are the PERFECT summer tee. There are 8 different colors, get them all.

Why? I mean, it’s summer… Why wouldn’t you need shorts? These shorts from American Eagle are the definition of excellence. I have them in black, white, and khaki, but they come in eight different colors. American Eagle’s ‘Favorite’ shorts are super comfortable, very soft, and they don’t shrink when you wash them. Throw on your v-neck from Gap, and your fedora from Urban Outfitters, and you’re ready to go!
7. Romper: Pins and Needles Silky Ruffle Romper from Urban Outfitters – $58
Why? No one likes to pick out a top to go with a bottom or vice versa. The romper takes the guess work out of it for you. Throw it on and you’re ready to go. Throw a cute belt on it with some wedges and you’re set for date night or drinks with the girls.
8. Jeggings: ‘Jeggins’ from American Eagle – $39.50
Why? I can’t find a pair of skinny jeans skinny enough so I end up looking like I have mom butt and that is NOT hot. Jeggings eliminate the bagginess your get after wearing jeans for a long time, sitting, standing, sitting, standing… You know the deal. They fit like leggings but are made to look like denim jeans so you get “Jeggings.” Genius!
9. Wedges: Front Loop Wedge Sandals from Charlotte Russe – $28.00

Why? You can wear wedges with shorts, dresses, and jeans (or jeggings). They’re easier to walk in than heels and ten times lighter because they’re made of cork. Pair these shoes with some white shorts and a cute black top for a summer night out.
10. Sun Dresses: Strapless Smocked Dress from Victoria’s Secret – $45
Why: Sundresses are perfect to take from day to night. Strappy flats during the day and cute wedges at night. These dresses are versatile and can be casual or dressy.
