You probably have seen it. It might have showed up on your Twitter page, or your Facebook news feed. “Drew Austin is at The Half Pint (76 W 3rd St, btw Laguardia Pl & Thompson St, New York). https://4sq.com/1emYRY.” Your friend just checked in at the local watering hole and somewhere in this micro-blogging post it says FOURSQAURE. Personally, I am hooked on FourSqaure. Just last night I found a friend of mine was at the comedy show that I was attending because he checked into FourSquare before I did. When I was in Atlantic City a couple of weeks ago, I was able to find someone at the Borgota selling an extra Tiesto ticket by posting my request on FourSquare. FourSqaure is about to surpass 1 million members and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. With more businesses giving out specials and discounts to people that check in at their venue, activity is going increase and memberships will grow.
Below is a recent interview AOL did with the founder of FOURSQUARE that should clear up some of the reasons why your friends are checking in on FourSquare and why this site is the next big thing in Social Media.
