If you are as crazed of an early ’90s WWF fan as I am then you know that one of the major reasons why we were drawn to the squared circle each and every Monday night and why we never hesitated to shell out the $30 dollar PPV fee once a month was the performance of pro wrestling legends like The Ultimate Warrior. So many larger than life personalities dominated the sports entertainment landscape in the the 1990s, however none were more powerful, energetic, and downright insane than the Warrior. It seems like only yesterday that I was watching the mysterious man from “Parts Unknown” capture his first WWF Championship title from Hulk Hogan at the epic Wrestlemania VI from Toronto’s SkyDome Arena. Now the Warrior turns 52 today and I am left to wonder where the time has gone and just how this once great monster of the mat is now almost the same age as my father and experienced a harder fall from grace than Ron Burgundy in the middle portion of Anchorman. Regardless of where he may be now, let’s all take a moment to recognize the fine work of the Warrior with a tribute video to his storied career after the jump. Happy Birthday Warrior, wherever you may be.
