Picture this; you’ve just woken up from a long night of raging hardcore with your bros. Your head is pounding as usual, most likely brought to you by your normal drinking games and a couple of your favorite recreational drugs. You can barely open your eyes but your bladder is the worst of all. It feels more filled up than that beer bong you funneled like a champ last night. So you slowly get up from your bed and creep into your decrepit bathroom of your fraternity house, but there are two problems. 1. Your toilet has been saran wrapped and 2. You’ve just been ICED! Now you must abide by the Bros Icing Bros code and play one more drinking game before you can go about your business. So you grab the Smirnoff Ice off the toilet seat, kneel down on one knee and chug that stuff!
Never heard of this drinking game that sweeping the mation? Well let me tell you more about this simple yet extraordinarily original phenomenon. “Icing” someone or “getting iced” has been gaining mass popularity over the past few months, mainly among “Bros” who are normally young office workers or college students. The rules are plain and simple: if a fellow bro presents you with a Smirnoff ice in any manner you must drop to your knee and chug that lovely beverage on the spot, no matter the setting or environment your currently in. That is unless you have a Smirnoff of your own and opt out by “ice blocking” your fellow bro for “the ultimate ice insult.” Also a refusal to drink results in instant “excommunication” and you will be shunned and never permitted to participate in an “icing” again. The official rules, and pictures of people “getting iced” can be seen at brosicingbros.com.
The game is rumored to have started on college campuses in the South, but has spread across the country like wildfire. The beauty of the game is there are no limits to creativity. People find funny and original ways to “ice” someone everyday whether it be hidden under a hollowed beer can or in your wife’s garter during your wedding. The game allows for anyone (over 21 years of age of course) to participate and be iced, ranging from software engineer John Ryan to rap artist Coolio.

Another beautiful side of the spectrum is that there are all different flavors and sizes, so if you really want to punish a bro, you can give them a gross flavor, like pineapple. So get out there and start icing your bros, and remember to be creative and maybe one day you can be apart of these official top 10 icings.
