Jeez, what’s with all these music documentaries today? First RE:GENERATION, now this: a film that documents the whole of Ultra Music Festival 2011. For those who don’t know, Ultra ran its first 3-day festival this year, and it sold out plus some. It was a crazy, crazy event and people are already getting pumped for next year’s. Check out this dope trailer for the movie.
Filmmaker Amir Bar Lev is breaking the boundaries of music? How? Well, this trailer for his new documentary RE:GENERATION should explain it all to you, but I’ll lay it out for you real quick: He’s pairing some of the biggest names in electronic music (Pretty Lights, Crystal Method, Skrillex) with rock, blues, motown, jazz, country, and rap stars to see what happens. The best part is that he’s filming it all.
Umm, who doesn’t wanna see a disheveled, depressed Charlize Theron swilling whiskey and trying to have her way with a happily married man? I know I do. That’s what her latest movie, Young Adult, is all about. Did I mention it was written by Juno’s Diablo Cody and directed by Up In The Air’s Jason Reitman? Okay, I realize that doesn’t give it much street credit, but dark comedies are always good by me.
You probably already heard that Xbox360 is adding your cable network to its list of “other stuff this gaming console can do,” but now it’s even more official: in inside look at the new function was released in this teaser, featuring annoying Kinect voice commands. I guess that’s useful for the lazy assclowns that refuse to even lift a finger to change channels.
They tried it with “Shit My Dad Says.” It didn’t work, but for some reason, yet again, television is attempting to take a web novelty and turn it into a show. This time they are giving TextsFromLastNight.com a shot. How? We have no frickin idea but it is officially happening and there’s nothing conventional logic can do to stop it. More after the jump.
That’s a quote taken directly from the comments on YouTube, and I don’t think I could have summed it up any better if I tried. Russian kids seriously have balls. They climb bridges and skyscrapers without any harnesses, fire off miniguns, and now rock out on a motorcycle…and they do it just because they’re bored. That’s badass.
I know I’ve been bringing you a lot of videos lately, but I just can’t help it – it’s just so easy to get high and lose track of time in television, movies, and especially YouTube. This one is special though. The makers of Planet Earth are back with a new ridiculous series about the Arctic and Antarctic tundras. So light one up and watch narwhals, orcas, and snow owls blow you away.
You don’t know how many times I was carless at school, and wished I didn’t have to take a bus with a bunch of smelly foreign exchange students. At the same time, you don’t how many times I was too broke to fill my car’s gas tank, and had to take the bus anyway. Wheelz solves both of those problems, and the best part is that it’s only for college students.
