New York and the world of sports suffered a tremendous loss this morning as Yankees owner George Steinbrenner was pronounced dead after a massive heart attack. Emergency crews responded to the home of longtime Bronx Bombers’ boss on Monday night, however were unable to revive him after spending the night in the hospital.
The Boss celebrated his 80th birthday this month. He told the Associated Press last week that he was “feeling good” after spending a couple hours in his office at the Yankees’ spring training complex.
