Well, the vote is in. And The Campus Socialite has a very special person in mind for Douchebag of the Week. And we give that honor to…drum roll please!…Gilbert Gottfried. To those who haven’t already heard, the screechy-voiced comedian made a very questionable move when he tweeted this:
Ouch. Harsh, Gilby. That might have been a little too soon. For anyone out-of-the-know, Greg Giraldo was a comedian who was not only a judge on Last Comic Standing, but also a much-loved friar on the Comedy Central Roasts. Earlier this week he overdosed and soon after passed away. He will surely be missed.
This huge comedic misstep is reason why Mr. Gottfried has been nominated as our Douchebag of the Week. Congrats, Gilbert! And if you want to see more douchey guys like Gilbert Gottfried, be sure to check the movie Douchebag in theaters this Friday.
