Normally when I am writing a piece intended to promote an product, service, person, or upcoming event, I will throw in a generic lead-in line that reads something like this: “With all the buzz surrounding (INSERT TREND/PERSON HERE), there is no time better than now to jump aboard the (INSERT TREND/PERSON HERE) train.”  But when the entity that you are pumping is something as monstrous as Facebook then how in the blue hell are you supposed to offer up any more hype?  Well, I can’t promise that I can offer up any more good press for Facebook, but what I can do is let you know that their superstar Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is ready to show off his acting prowess by lending his voice to an upcoming episode of The Simpsons.  Read on for more details on Zuckerberg’s trip to Springfield…

Although exact details on the 26-year-old gazillionaire’s appearance on The Simpsons are still sketchy, word has come down form pop-culture blog, Vulture, that Zuckerberg will have a role in a Lisa-centric episode of the legendary cartoon’s 22nd season.  Check out the early description for titled “Loan-A Lisa”:

“Lisa (Simpson) decides to help fund Nelson’s new bike company. While attending an entrepreneurs convention, the two encounter Zuckerberg, who reminds the kids just how many famous billionaires–including himself–have dropped out of school.”

Zuckerberg’s episode is most likely going to air in October, right around the time that the Facebook creation-tale film “The Social Network” hits theaters.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Nobody does it better than the ‘book and I don’t doubt that there will be plenty of shameless Facebook plugs spliced into “Loan-A Lisa.

Stay tuned for more on the Zuckerberg/Simpson merger (sounds like a asbestos law firm ran by some Jewish dudes) as details are made available.
