Manhattan will always be known as the capital of amazing food on every corner, but as its brother to the south gets flooded with vegan hipsters and Food Network yuppies, the food on the streets of Brooklyn keeps getting better and better. Nowadays, you could walk into a Brooklyn sandwich shop and get an $11 panini designed in a lab by a CIA (Culinary Institute of America) educated chef. Or maybe even a Grilled Cheese.
Food Freaks, a little shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, has taken your favorite childhood sandwich, added a whole bunch of edible goodness, and kicked up the Grilled Cheese to the next level forever. The above video had me salivating all over my shirt, and now I’m going to subject you to it. So next time you’re East of the Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll know where to find some comfort.
