The photo sharing app is now available for the Android. Instagram has had instant success as an iPhone app. Launched in 2010, over 27 million iPhone users have downloaded the app as of last month. Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom expects the same results by launching the app for Android consumers. “We’ve put an incredible amount of effort into this app to make a first-class experience for Android users everywhere.”
Frankly who could blame him as this was just a matter of when and not if. Instagram has become too popular not to be included on the Android phone. Many of the same features will be included such as snapping pictures, transforming its image and posting it through social media websites like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Some features though will not be apart of the first version of the app such as Tilt Shift, Blur, Share from Feed, Live Preview and Share to Flickr. All of these aspects however are expected to be integrated into any upcoming models of the app.
Instagram can be download here at the Google Play Store.
