The new, highly anticipated iPhone was released for sale today. Yours truly stood aside at 6am to watch as the lunatics waiting in line were shuffled in to make their purchase.
While all of the techies seemed grossly enthused, I failed to see the greatness that is the iPhone 4. Once inside the store, I quickly side stepped over to the phone to ‘play’. I was disappointed to find it is practically the same as the iPhone I have now. In my opinion, the iPhone 4 is just another hyped up Apple product that is extremely advanced and fun to have for status amongst a sea of other cell phone carriers.
The line outside of the Apple store was the longest one yet, said an Apple marketing representative. The young adult who was the first in line to pick up his iPhone had waited a whopping 48 hours outside amidst cruelly humid temperatures.
Just like most products with intense build-up pre-release, the new iPhone already has glitches, particularly in regards to the strength of its signal, reports businessinsider.com. Apparently, the antenna on the outside of the phone isn’t enough to help the stuffty signal.
Hold off on picking up the iPhone for a month. Hopefully, by then the kinks will be worked out and you won’t have to stand in a line for 48 hours.
