Back in July when Kanye west joined the social networking website Twitter, everyone made a huge deal out of it, including myself. Despite all the drama that surrounds Kanye’s life and persona, his tweets have always exemplified his unfiltered thoughts, which are usually lots of funny ramblings.
Now, comes something even funnier. Josh Groban visits Jimmy Kimmel Live for a skit which promotes his new fictional album ‘The Best Tweets of Kanye West’ featuring 752 Kanye originals on 48 CDs. This would get both Kanye and Josh many awards that Kanye could tweet about for months and years to come.
It’s great that Kanye’s work is finally becoming mainstream, I mean his tweets are inspirational: ‘French fries are the devil’ – He wants to help you stick with your weight-loss goals for the new year. The words of wisdom being sung by Oscar and Grammy winning artists Josh Groban makes the words sound more meaningful than ever.
The only thing Groban didn’t capture in his rendition of Kanye’s tweets was his use of the caps lock button and his favorite punctuation mark, the exclamation point. Groban can’t be blamed: No one is as awesome as Kanye…I’m pretty sure he said that himself in one of his tweets, so Josh is doing his best.
Kanye usually tweets exactly what’s on his mind. Originally I thought ‘hey, this will explain some of the things that he does and says,’ but actually it has only left most people feeling confused. This confusion hasn’t stopped us from paying attention, even if we had Kanye is still has the best tweets in the world and he’s going to make sure we remember it.
