That’s right, the classic MTV show where celebs show you around their sprawling mansions and subsequently make your life feel inadequate is back, but this time, it’s going extreme. Starting August 1st at 4:30 PM (weird time slot), MTV will chauffeur you through some of the weirdest and most unique houses in the world.
So what exactly will you see on Extreme Cribs? Well, we can’t be entirely sure, since we haven’t even seen a video promo for the new spin-off yet, but we have a few small details that should get you pumped: The Cribs team scales a house in a tree, explores a modern cave dwelling, delves into a pad built in an abandoned missile silo, checks out a London flat rebuilt to look just like Star Trek’s Enterprise, peeks inside a fully functional replica of The Munsters macabre mansion, and gets up into a 360-degree rotating roost slapped onto a San Diego hilltop.
Those all sound fairly dope to me, and there’s more where that came from. I hope there’s a house with slides and ballpits built into it like in Blank Check. Remember that stuff?
This video isn’t from the new show, but it should give you a good idea of what you might see:
