PF Flyers came on the Basketball sneaker scene all the way back in the 1950’s. For those of us who grew up in the 90’s however, there’s one word that comes to mind when we see that iconic design. I’ll give you a hint, it rhymes with BandCot. For all the kids who grew up worshiping Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez and crew, that minimalist look will never go out of style. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with a little tweak from time to time. Enter the Hi Color Pop series.
PF Flyers is one of those brands that you will never see a complete overhaul. There’s something very attractive about a brand that’s maintained it’s base model for 60 years. Something respectable. The Hi Color Pop series is no different, except for a little next level coloration. The shoes come in black or red, classic shoe colors, but they are punctuated with an aqua blue ribbed toe guard, that flashes like silver on the bottom of your shoe.
I’ve spent a lot of time on college campuses recently, and I gotta be honest, you guys need some color. Not only does aqua blue look good with anything, it will make whatever you’re wearing stand out like Kate Upton in a dive bar. If you want double takes, in the best way possible, it can’t all be jeans and hoodies. Go classic with a twist. It’s a recipe that never fails.
