On Thursday night at approximately 6:37 p.m. Presbyterian University and Wake Forest will do battle in the first game of the college football season.  This is just the first of many games on the night that marks the first of the college football season.  With that in mind, here are some reasons why to get excited for the upcoming college football season.

Tailgating

Who doesn’t like drinking at 9 a.m. on a Saturday morning following a long night out?  Nothing quite beats drinking in a parking lot with 50,000 of your closest friends who are grilling up all sorts of goodies right there next to you.

Hot Co-eds

Girls should take a note from Jenn Sterger, the former FSU cowgirl.  Jenn and her friends use to wear extremely low cut tops and cowboy hats and sit in the front row at FSU games.  Jenn got her notoriety from this and it ended up helping her land a gig as a host of The Daily Line on the Versus channel.  Take note girls, take note.

Hard Hits

Who doesn’t love seeing a bunch of big sweaty men throwing their weight around and trying to knock each others teeth out.  The college kids may not hit as hard as the pros, but these kids can certainly pack a punch.

Game Week

In college football there is a maximum number of fourteen games a team can play each year.  So the number of games a team plays is significantly shorter than every other sports team.  The buzz the campus has the week of a big game is like no other feeling in the world.  You know every day that goes by brings you closer to the big game.
