Big news from the movie world this week! David Ward, the writer/director of Major League, was recently quoted stating that he has written what he sees as Major League 3 and it is coming together as we speak. We all know there was “officially” more then 2 Major Leagues, but even the average fan knows that Major League 1 and 2 were the bomb, and the franchise ended there. Think Fast and the Furious, before 2 Fast 2 Furious came out, the legitimate sequel, a couple other retarded films came out in the franchise starring Lil Bow Wow and friends.
Anyways, David Ward went on to say, “It’s 20 years later, and Wild Thing comes out of retirement to work with this 19-year-old player,” Ward added. “We’ve actually got three new characters in the new film. And if the new film is popular, they could carry the franchise on.”
Though Ward hopes to get Tom Berenger, Corbin Bernsen and even, Wesley Snipes back for Major League 3, he’s so far only spoken to Charlie Sheen about it. I will tell you this right now, if they get Wesley Snipes to reprise his role as Willy Mays Hayes, you can count on at least $12 dollars revenue in the box office coming from this guy right here ($16 if they decide to release this bad boy in 3D).
Charlie Sheen told Ward that “he’s excited to do it if and when it happens”, but he will not be able to shoot until next year due to his obligations to ‘Two and a Half Men.
