Are you like every other college kid with midterms stressing you out? Don’t you wish you knew of a way to get rid of the stress even if just for a little bit? Well here a few ways to relieve some of that stress even if its just temporarily.
Exercise
Whether you want to pump iron or go for a nice long run, that hour away from work can make you feel so much better. All the built up stress will be released, and the workout will keep you distracted from your work until its time to tackle it again.
Do Work for Another Class
Studies have shown that breaking up work for your classes can be effective. If you work hard for two hours on one subject and think you can’t retain anymore information, then go back and do some work for another class. You have to get it done, but just make sure your work is effective, and not counter productive.
Talk to People
Call mom. Talk to your best friend from back home. Sometimes just talking to people can make you feel better. Your friends are all going through the same thing that you are, so they know what it’s like to be stressed. Just keep the flow of communication with people.
Take a Five Minute Break
Sometimes running to Starbucks for that late night cup of coffee can make all the difference in your studying. Stepping away for five minutes and being distracted can help your brain relax, and also your body. If you let college get the better of you, it will beat you.
