We heard the rumors over the past week: “Is The Campus Socialite down forever?” “Have they packed up and called it quits?” “Are they just going to leave us high and dry without even an explanation of why they never called us back?” Campus Socialites across the country almost had to go to dinosaur news sites written by their grandparents to see pictures of Lindsay Lohan shooting up, or get information about the new Blackberry tablet. Well, we couldn’t have that now, could we? So, we developed the NEW Campus Socialite. It has more content and cool bloggy gizmos than ever before. We want to change the way that you experience social media. That being said, welcome to the new era in blogging technology. Mazel tov!
To be honest, there is a strong possibility we jumped the gun with this launch. You are going to find glitches up the wazoo and a good amount of links that don’t take you anywhere. Give us a break, we got the blog up as fast as possible for your reading convenience. So just bear with us as we continue to improve and expand the depth of the site. We have an incredible amount of new developments in store for the upcoming year. You will see more and more unique innovations everyday when you check back (because, be honest, you’re on The Campus Socialite all the time). Don’t Be Shy, Use Your Smart Phone and Give It A Scan!
As for some of the new aspects of the site: Obviously the branding and design is way cooler than was the old version’s. You’ll also see that there’s a bar code on the right menu. Go ahead and scan it with your smart phone. Pretty cool, right? Then there’s Meebo. If you want to share an image on Facebook, Twitter, or one of the other various networking websites, you just click on it and drag it to the top of the window and…voila! You’ll see a dock pop up displaying all of those sites. Choose your favorite and spread our content around the web! Our clients and future clients will also be running marketing campaigns and contests through the site. That’s some good synergy right there. And if you would like to read news about your campus specifically, or would like to read posts written by your classmates, then you can click your campus logo in the scrolling bar up top to take you there.
