Tupac is back from the dead. Ok so technically he isn’t, but his hologram is alive and well. Tupac (excuse me his hologram) rapped with Snoop Dog last night at Coachella on “Come With Me,” “Hail Marry” and “Gangsta Party.” Coachella was already a crazy evening which included Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Tony Yayo, Warren G and Kurupt. These rappers while excellent are still on this planet. When Tupac, you know the legendary rapper who died over 15 years ago graced the stage, the entire place went absolutely nuts and rightfully so.
Imagine being on acid at Coachella and seeing a dead man reemerge as a hologram? Tupac wasn’t used in some video montage nor was his voice auto tuned into some tacky remix. Instead, Tupac was actually live on stage. Being completely sober, the only explainiation I can offer is a combination of “Avatar” and “The Sixth Sense” coming to life. I can’t even begin to put into words what audience members must have been feeling. Who knows what next week at Coachella will bring us. Maybe a heavenly rap battle between Tupac and Biggie?
