Back when rocking a Tony Hawk T-shirt and riding on a skateboard was the coolest thing you could do with your time? That’s when Vans, the punked out, skater dude sneaker company out of California really shined. I don’t know about out west, but Vans have lost a lot of their previous thunder out here on the east coast. The Warped Tour still draws a crowd, but I hardly ever see anyone rocking a pair of Vans, unless they’re also rocking a Korn T-shirt. I gotta say though, everyone loves a comeback, and their new spring line looks like they’ve done some major growing up. For the first time in at least a decade, Vans are looking pretty sick.
