As an amateur “Bearder” myself, I feel a sense of pride and solidarity with the Bearded community. Growing and maintaining a sick beard is self-expression at it’s finest. Whether it be a Chin Strap, a Neck Beard, or a True Full, a beard makes a statement about who said Bearder is. Just look at Brian Wilson from the San Francisco Giants or Zach Galifiniakis from The Hangover. Without the beard, there is no myth, just a man. You can imagine our excitement when we stumbled upon IFC’s new reality show, Whisker Wars, premiering this Friday. The show will chronicle the World Cup style competition over which country has the best facial hair. It will follow Team USA in it’s quest to take down Germany, The New York Yankees of Bearding. If we could get behind Women’s Soccer, surely we can get behind this. USA!
