Phenomenally talented MC’s like Jay Electronica, Childish Gambino or Big K.R.I.T may never have bank accounts that match their talent (although the last two are slowly blowing up), while guys like B.O.B will continue to rake in undeserved cash for their repeated insults to the genre of hip-hop. With Take Care, Drake has firmly planted himself in the former category of the overpaid/underrated dichotomy, and takes every chance he has to remind you of this.

Check out The Campus Socialite’s picks for what’s dropping this week in Movies, Music, DVD, and Gaming. You heard it here first.
I had no idea what people were raving about when the first Hunger Games teaser came out, and it was just some chick running through the forest with a bow. Now I understand, and I likey. What’s more entertaining than teenagers being forced to mercilessly slaughter one another.
Jim Breuer is a comedian who became world famous by starring in the stoner comedy Half Baked and playing a variety of characters on Saturday Night Live including his most recognizable…Goat Boy. He continues to perform around the world today and also hosts his own radio show and podcast. Recently he produced a film following his life on the road while taking care of his aging father, an emotional journey not expected from a guy who got famous by screaming “Metallica!” on stage.
Par-City is the revival of the true hip-hop sound that has been long been dead thanks to auto-tune. They are one of The Campus Socialite’s favorite new acts and the “You Won’t” track has been played on repeat since 11 am. This song has an infectious chorus that will have you chanting “That’s the thug in me” for the next 3 days. Listen to it below and see what all the hype is about, but be warned, you won’t shake this beat for 3 weeks.
Does Brittney from Georgia have what it takes to be Maxim’s Hometown Hottie, 2011? Well, she’s the only one so far who cares enough about my vote to have made a video. Major points is all I have to say. Get about 30 seconds into this video and Brittney from Georgia might just woo you. Check out the rest of the Hometown Hotties at Maxim.com. We were partial to Melanie Iglesias, But Damn!
If you don’t watch Community on NBC, consider this a call to action. People Magazine is currently accepting submissions for the annual Sexiest Man Alive competition in the form of a video, making a mundane action look sexy. Joel McHale, star of Community, responded by making a video of him making coffee. But wait a minute or so and things get a little more interesting. Definitely sexier. Enjoy.
Scrubs was one of the best and funniest shows on TV for a very long time, and maybe I’m not alone in this, but I always kinda suspected that the actors were all just as funny in real life as they were on the show. Today, my thoughts are vindicated. Zach Braff isn’t quite JD, but his shenanigans on Twitter (@ZachBraff) are hysterical enough to give me some much needed nostalgia. With 246K+ followers, Zach is climbing the ladder. Let’s give him a boost.
We don’t report on cars nearly enough as we should, but once in a while a video comes along and forces our hand. The Evil Empire Drift Team decided to take this girl for a lap around the course in a Toyota Supra. Little did she know the car wasn’t going to be the only thing putting on a show for the cameras. You just have to watch.
So I realize that juggling hasn’t been popular since the 1870’s, but this guy is working uber hard to bring it back. He’s definitely making me a believer, because he rocks those bowling pins pretty hard. Give it a chance, you won’t be disappointed.
